Gutter Cleaning FAQ
Q: What is included in a gutter cleaning?
A: We clean out all troughs and downspouts as well as removing debris from your roof that collect on valleys and behind vents, skylights, chimneys and dormers. All removed debris is mulched into areas that are appropriate for decaying tree matter or hauled away. We assess the effectiveness of your entire roof system and if needed make recommendations for repairs that we feel would offset the cost of repairs associated with bad drainage. We understand that homeowners are often not equipped or inclined to be on their roof so we take the opportunity to let them know whats going on up there. We do not clean out drainage that is underground. This is a landscaping issue.
Q: Do you repair gutters?
A: No but we can refer an associate to help you if we see a need for it. We are a cleaning company focusing on maintenance and not repair.
Q: I have gutter guards, can you still help me?
A: Yes. We can clean off guttering systems that are not performing well due to accumulated debris. If you have gutter guards be advised we may recommend removing them if our assessment deems them ineffective for you particular situation. We encounter many gutter guard systems that are doing more harm than good. Be advised we cannot remove a gutter guard system and clean out debris and then reinstall the gutter guards, If we have to clean out under the guards we cannot put them back with a good conscience that they will be serving a good purpose.
Q: My house is really tall, the front is two stories but the home is on a slope and the back is super tall. Will you be able to get up there?
A: We have ladders, harnesses, and extension poles to safely reach very challenging access points.
Q: Two guys in a pickup truck come by every fall door to door and offer to do our gutters and others in the neighborhood for $75 dollars a piece. Your price is twice that. Whats the deal?
A: Are they insured? Do they do this type of work on a daily basis? Do they pay their taxes? Are you sure they clean the really hard to reach areas? Do they offer a comprehensive checkup of your roof drainage and make professional recommendations based on years of experience that will save you thousands of dollars in repair down the road? Our service may be higher priced than others but no one beats us on value.
Q: Will your ladder placement knock my gutters out of slope or scratch the facings?
A: Never. We are experienced and equipped to make sure our methods of access do not create other problems. We have ladder attachments and modifications that ensure safe and effective access while protecting your home from the common mishaps associated with less experienced cleaners.
Q: Can you replace a couple of high flood lights while you are up there?
A: Yes, we can perform some other ladder chores for a modest fee. Bulb changes are a common request. If you buy the replacement bulbs beforehand we can change them out when we are there.
